High School and College Internships
The Bach Ensemble offers Internships for high school and college students in Lee and Collier Counties, who would like to learn about performing and/or producing Baroque choral concerts. Three types of Internships are available: Vocal Internships, Accompanying Internships, and Arts Management Internships, for periods ranging from one semester to a full school year.
Vocal Internship
The vocal internship is for singers who will join the chorus in order to grow and develop both in practice and in performance. Vocal interns are expected to participate in each weekly rehearsal and scheduled concert performance.
Accompanying Internship
The accompanying internship is for advanced classical pianists who wish to learn how to work with a conductor to accompany a choral ensemble. Accompanying interns are expected to prepare the music in advance and to attend all weekly rehearsals and scheduled performances.
Arts Management Internship
The arts management internship is for college students or mature high school students who wish to understand the business and management side of operating a not-for-profit arts group. Arts management interns will work with the Artistic Director and the Board of Directors to understand the day-to-day business activities of an arts organization, as it produces a concert from preparation to performance. Experience will be gained in the areas of publicity, fundraising, logistics, finance, operational planning, volunteer management and administration.
